A New Google Ad Type and Using A.I. Content.

It’s Simple!

Don’t worry. Nothing is really changing in Google ads you see! What is changing is how Google will help you place your ads. Per Google’s announcement on March 2nd of this year, starting today they are testing new designs on how to improve their advertising product, and how to organize and make things easier to find!

A small number of Google users and advertisers will be in the test market to find out if you can improve upon the results that you may or may not be getting with Google right now.

There is also really cool news coming from the people that are promoting AI but at the same time some search engines are apparently penalizing websites for using AI content on their pages.

Why do you think this is?

This is likely because more people are asking the AI similar questions and getting similar answers which will be detected as duplicate content to Google if published as-is. They are not actually penalizing content for being AI generated and Google is not against automatically generated content nor are they capable of detecting the fact that an AI generated the content.

As long as it is original and does not duplicate any existing pages out there it should be OK. The caveat is that you must not assume that any AI generated content will not be duplicated because AI does use search engines and it’s databases to obtain answers for prompts. A good practice is to rewrite anything that you use an AI to generate in your own words to minimize any risks of duplication or plagiarism. When using dynamically generated AI content it is best to only use small snippets as-is and include a link to original source if possible. Either way it is best to assume that AI is not yet ready to work unsupervised.
